International Design Competition for Hagye Apt. Complex 5, Public Housing, Seoul

Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation is trying to regenerate old rental housing complexes that were built for more than 30 years ago, by breaking away from the image of the past that was cut off and avoided in the local community, into new multifunctional complexes that combines residential, green, and various convenience facilities. By designating the existing Hagye complex 5 as a public housing district and for the innovative and excellent master plan of the district and public housing complex design, such as the introduction of living SOC for the development and revitalization of Nowon-gu district, new parks and a community corridor for the creation of open residential complexes, SH Corporation announces the ‘International Design Competition for Hagye Apt. Complex 5, Public Housing, Seoul, Korea’ as follows.

1. Competition Overview
– Competition Title: International Design Competition for Hagye Apt. Complex 5, Public Housing, Seoul, Korea
– Type of Competition: two phases competition (Phase 1 :Submission of project proposal(Panel), Phase 2 :Submission of Design works)
– Location: Hagye-dong, 272 region, Nowon-gu, Seoul, Korea
– Site Area: 28,785.3㎡
– Design Fee: KRW 5,749 million(VAT Incl.)

2. Eligibility
(1) Phase 1: Professionals in domestic and foreign architectural design.
(2) Phase 2: 5 teams from the phase 1 competition will be selected for the phase 2 competition.
