Since 1998, Arquine, a comprehensive architectural‑culture platform, has organized an international architecture competition that, in recent years, has been planned as part of the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival held in Mexico City’s historic center. Participants are invited to propose both the design and the activation of a pavilion. The built pavilion will serve as a node that promotes active interaction between architecture and the city, and must ensure sustainability by being reusable. It will be installed in one of two sites in the historic center of Mexico City: Alameda Central or Plaza Manuel Tolsá.
