Public Design Competition of Seonyudo Pedestrian Pier and Hangang Floating Gallery

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announces “Public Design Competition of Senyudo Pedestrian Pier and Hangang Floating Gallery” as follows.

1. Competition Summary
(1) Location: Seonyudo, Yanghwa Hangang Park at 52-1, Yanghwa-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul
(2) Competition Type: Design Competition with 2 stages
(3) Budge: KRW 662 million (including VAT and liability insurance)
– Seonyudo pedestrian pier (KRW 312M)
– Hangang floating gallery (KRW 350M)

2. Qualification
Open for experts at home and abroad in the fields of architecture and engineering on the condition of joint entry.

3. Schedule
(1) Notice for Stage 1: April 20(Mon)
– Registration: April 20(Mon) ~ 18:00 May 19(Tue)
– Question submission: 15:00 April 28(Tue) ~ 17:00 May 01(Fri)
– Q & A: May 8(Fri)
– Entry submission: 10:00 May 18(Mon) ~ 17:00 May 20(Wed)
– Results announcement: June 1(Mon)
(2) Notice for Stage 2: June 11(Thu)
– Registration: June 11, 2020(Thu) ~ 18:00 August 12(Wed)
– Site survey: 10:00 June 24(Wed)

– Question submission: 14:00 June 23(Tue) ~ 17:00 June 26(Fri)
– Q & A: July 7(Tue)
– Entry submission: 10:00 August 11(Tue) ~ 17:00 August 13(Thu)
– Stage 2 evaluation: Refer to the evaluation schedule below
– Results announcement: August 21(Fri)

4. Evaluation
– Stage 1 evaluation: May 29(Fri)
– Technical review: August 18(Tue)
– Stage 2 evaluation: August 20(Thu)
– The list of judges is on the website “Project Seoul”

5. Prizes
(1) Stage 1 _ Stage 2 entries (5~7 entries)
(2) Stage 2 _ Winner: The right of priority negotiation for contract of working construction documents
(3) 2~5(or 6, 7) place: Refer to the design guideline for cash prize distribution rate
※ The total cash prizes of KRW 66.2 million (Pedestrian Pier KRW 31,2M, Floating Gallery KRW 35M)
