The Jongno-gu Office announces “the New Jongno-gu Governmental Office Complex Design Competition” as follows.
1. Competition brief
(1) Competition type: International Competition for all licensed architects
(2) Site: 43, Sambong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea
(3) Site area: 8,622.3m2 (Jongno-gu Office 6,635.3m2, Jongno Fire Station 1,987m2)
(4) Total floor : Area: 66,970m2 ( Adjustable within the limit of ±3%)
(5) Building use: Government Office, Cultural and assembly Facilities, Neighborhood living facility
(6) Design fee: KRW 8,904 million (including VAT and Securities for Damage Liability)
2. Eligibility
Both Korean and foreign licensed architects can participate, and one team can be made of up to three architects but one appointed representative should carry out the registration.

(1) Registration: May 29 (Fri.) ~ August 20 (Thu.) 2020 17:00
(2) 0n-site briefing : June 15 (Mon.) 10:00
(3) Inquiries registration: June 15 (Mon.) ~ June 19 (Fri.) 2020 17:00
(4) Inquiries answer: June 26 (Fri.)
(5) Submission of proposal: August 27(Thu.) 10:00~ 17:00 (Personal Delivery and Submission per post)
(6) Announcement of the winners: September 15(Tue.)
4. Evaluation
(1) Technical evaluation: August 31 (Mon.)
(2) First evaluation: September 3 (Thu.)
(3) Second evaluation: September 14 (Mon.)

5. Prize
(1) The first prize winner will be commissioned to develop design and realize the project.
(2) Honoraria will be paid differently to each runner-up except for the first prize winner as follows.
– Second Prize: KRW 80,000,000
– Third Prize: KRW 60,000,000
– Fourth Prize: KRW 40,000,000
– Fifth Prize: KRW 20,000,000
