Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation holds an international design competition for Gwanggyo Central Plaza. The competition aims to create a public realm in the public space of Gwanggyo New Town, through a pedestrian axis over the ground and the underground walkway, and provide a complex space for residents. If the central plaza is created, a pedestrian bridge and underground pedestrian walkway will connect Gwanggyo Central Station and Convergence Town to Lake Park, forming a pedestrian axis that will greatly improve accessibility to Gwanggyo Convergence Town. The competition is waiting for many domestic and foreign experts in the first step of creating the central plaza of Gwanggyo New Town.
1. Eligibility
– Domestic and foreign architectural, landscape, and urban professionals can participate (up to 5 people in case of joint application)
– Those who hold an architect’s license under Article 7 of the Architects Act and have registered an architect’s office under Article 23 of the same Act.
