
German architectural photographer Roland Halbe has sent us some photographs of the 2024 Serpentine Pavilion in London, designed by Korean architect Minsuk Cho of Mass Studies.
The pavilion consists of five islands surrounding a central void, drawing inspiration from traditional Korean madang courtyards. Each structure serves a unique purpose, such as a Tea House and Play Tower, encouraging community interaction while allowing space for individual reflection. Cho emphasizes creating architecture that fosters daily life engagement, where visitors can sit, climb, and interact with the space.
