마을과 함께 호흡하는 경사 지붕 집

The house, for a couple and their three children, is located on the slope of a hill; the hill has been developed as a tiered platform to accommodate a housing complex with about 100 units.
The clients, owners of the house, decided to move to the area due to a fondness for the lush green surroundings and peaceful environment.
The site was already developed, and built up to about 3m of height from the front road with kenchiishi stone masonry work, giving a sense of oppression and enclosure. The existing house was standing there quietly, vacant and detached from the town.
세 자녀와 부부를 위한 이 집은 경사지에 자리한다. 대지는 100여 채 남짓한 주택으로 이루어진 주거 단지 내 경사지를 택지로 개발한 땅이다. 집 주인은 온통 초록으로 가득한 평화로운 주변 환경에 매료되어 이곳으로 이사를 결정했다. 이미 개발이 이루어진 부지는 도로에서 약 3m 높이로 쌓아 올린 간지석 석축으로 인해 폐쇄적인 느낌과 위압감을 주었다. 그곳에 자리한 기존 주택은 마을 중심부와는 떨어져 덩그러니 놓여 있었다.
최근에 이곳으로 이사를 온 집주인 가족은 마을과 좀 더 연결된 집이 되기를 바랐고 이를 위해서는 무엇보다 폐쇄적인 느낌을 없애는 것이 급선무였다. 먼저, 길을 마주하고 있는 석축의 길이를 반 정도 줄였다. 석축을 제거한 자리에 추녀마루 벽을 만들고 도로에서 안쪽으로 들어가면서 점차 단을 높여 주차장, 정원, 실내 공간을 연결해 구성했다.
It was clear that the client and their family, who had recently joined the housing complex, required a home which enjoyed improved links to the town, which required the elimination of any feeling of enclosure.
First, the masonry work facing the front road was removed from about half of its length.
Next, a hip wall was built, in a manner that gradually increases in height from the street side toward the back, gently connecting the road to the parking lot, garden and the rooms of the house.
커다란 단일 차양 지붕은 주변의 시선과 오후의 햇빛을 가려주는 역할을 한다. 이 같은 독특한 설계로 정원의 나무와 공원, 그리고 멀리 바다의 풍경까지 집 안으로 들일 수 있고 이를 통해 매순간 주변 환경, 그리고 마을과 함께 호흡하며 생활할 수 있다.
지붕은 대지 경계선까지 확장되어 있으며, 프라이버시에 적합한 높이를 적용해 지나는 사람들의 시선에서 자유로울 수 있도록 했다. 맞은편 도로에서 집 내부가 들여다보이지는 않지만 지붕의 디자인 덕에 집에 좀 더 가까이 다가가면 내부를 볼 수 있다. 이는 경계를 넘어 자신들이 먼저 스스로의 삶을 열어 보이고 이 마을과 조금씩 더 긴밀해지고 싶다는 가족들의 의지를 담아낸 것이기도 하다.
While a single large pent roof was provided to block the view from the adjacent lots, as well as the afternoon sun, the design enables a view of the trees in the garden and the park, and the ocean view in the distance, to be brought in to the house. This enables the presence of the town to be felt at every moment.
The roof, which extends near to the boundary between the site and the road, also helps to control how much can be observed by passers-by, thanks to eaves of adequate height for privacy. This ensures that the inside of the house cannot be seen from the opposite side of the road, yet the design of the roof allows the interior to come into view if one gets closer to the house; the expressions of the interior gradually flow out beyond the border, demonstrating a willingness to establish a linkage between the internal life of the house and the city.
