Every year, Mexico City hosts Mextropoli, an architectural festival aimed at revitalizing urban spaces and promoting culture and the arts. The upcoming festival will feature events such as architect talks, outdoor exhibitions, and city tours, set to take place in September of next year. As part of the festival, the 2025 Mextropoli Pavilion Competition is being held. The winning design will be installed in Alameda Central Park, located in Mexico City’s historic center, and displayed alongside other installations designed by architects and students from around the world. The competition’s goal is to create a space for reflection and discussion on architecture and urbanism during the festival, utilizing materials that are recycled or reusable.
