Architects Regional Council of AsiaARCASIA is an organization of twenty-two National Institutes of Architects from the Asian region extending from Pakistan in the West to the Philippines in the East, the Peoples Republic of China in the North to Indonesia in the South.
ARCASIA has instituted the ARCASIA Awards for ArchitecturesAAA to encourage and recognize exemplary works done by architects working in Asia in its endeavours to raise the standard of the built environment throughout Asia in general and in its member countries in particular.
The objective of the AAA is to acknowledge exemplary architectural work and in doing so celebrate the Asian spirit, encourage the development and improvement of the Asian built environment and enhance of the awareness of the role of architects in the socio-economic and cultural life of Asian countries.
The awards are strictly for architects or firms who are officially registered to practice architecture in their country of origin. Each award in five categories may only be credited to the legally registered lead principal architect(s) of the project and/or their firm, maximum 3 parties in total.
1. Eligibility
– Registered Architects or Architectural firms from any ARCASIA member country for projects anywhere in the world.
– Registered Architects or Architectural firms from anywhere in the world for projects within the
ARCASIA Member countries.
2. Scope of the Award
1) Category A: Residential Projects
– A1: Single Family Residential Projects
– A2: Multi-Family Residential Complexes
2) Category B: Public Amenity Buildings
– B1: Commercial Buildings
– B2: Resort Buildings
– B3: Institutional Buildings
– B4: Social and Cultural Buildings
– B5: Specialised Buildings
3) Category C: Industrial Buildings
4) Category D: Conservation Projects
– D1: Historical restoration projects that conserve or restore the Architectural Heritage of Asian countries
– D2: Adaptive reuse projects that conserve or restore the Architectural Heritage of Asian countries

5. Processing Fee
– 100 USD (per entry)
– 75 USD (per entry for members of the ARCASIA Member Institutes, proof of membership required)
6. Prize
– Entries selected by the Jury will be awarded a GOLD MEDAL as the ARCASIA AWARD FOR ARCHITECTURE in each category for the year of the award.
– The Jury may at its discretion make HONORARY MENTIONS and MENTIONS of noteworthy projects in the categories.
